Vintage Ironing Board ... New Purpose

Here are the before and after pictures of the vintage ironing board destined for the dump ...





















a perfect addition to our front porch at Christmas!another piece of recycled yard art ... this cow was picked from a neighbors garbage and was totally pink ... turned him into a bit of a conversation piece (he'll be moooved off the porch out to the pasture soon)!

Jammy Day and ...

... the beginning of a new creation!
A vintage ironing board destined
for the dump ...
I so want to find a new purpose for objects that have served their masters well. If only this ironing board could talk. Her legs had seen far better days, but as for her ... she is destined to become a work of art.
She could be turned into a tall thin Santa ... she is the perfect shape
and I love to paint Santas. Or ...
she could become the backdrop for the Holy Family.
Joseph, Mary and the infant Jesus fit nicely within her perimeter.

She was primed today and the sketching has begun.
