... the beginning of a new creation!
A vintage ironing board destined
for the dump ...
I so want to find a new purpose for objects that have served their masters well. If only this ironing board could talk. Her legs had seen far better days, but as for her ... she is destined to become a work of art.
She could be turned into a tall thin Santa ... she is the perfect shape
and I love to paint Santas. Or ...
she could become the backdrop for the Holy Family.
Joseph, Mary and the infant Jesus fit nicely within her perimeter.
She was primed today and the sketching has begun.
What are your thoughts, Santa or Holy Family?

How about a nutcracker or a wooden soldier? K
How about a moose?
A moose??? I wonder who left that comment? If a moose can be done on a vintage ironing board ~ I will paint a moose! I like the nutcracker and wooden soldier idea too. The first ironing board is almost done ... 4 more boards to go! Keep your eyes open for cheap vintage ironing boards! Thx ... xoxo
I think that you should go for something that you can display year-round for your next one.
What about St. Francis, Patron Saint of pets and animals, maybe with a bird bath in his hand??? Use an outdoor polyurethane and it can be used in your garden or back yard habitat!!!
New Idea!
Maybe, Mother and Child, like the pendants!!!
